ABOUT US
The Cross-border Research Association (CBRA) is a Swiss not-for-profit, independent research institute dedicated to advancing knowledge and practical solutions in customs and border management, global trade facilitation, and transport security.
Established in 2005 as a spin-off from the University of Lausanne, CBRA connects government agencies, the private sector, and academia to address complex cross-border challenges. With a strong track record across 40+ international research and consulting projects, CBRA plays a key role in shaping smarter, more secure, and more efficient global supply chains.
Our work spans a broad spectrum of specialized topics, from advanced detection technologies and anti-illicit trade strategies to Green Customs, data-driven risk management, and coordinated border management. At the core, we focus on the intersection of technology, operational practices, and regulatory frameworks that shape the future of cross-border trade and logistics.
